Just got back from seeing it......WOW!! It's everything I hoped it would be. He was doubted by many but Michael Bay has made THE definitive Transformers movie. Everything about it was just awesome. Seeing Autobots and Decepticons in a live action movie move, transform, talk and fight was done perfectly in this movie. When you see the first Transformer jump and transform from robot to police car (Barricade) you will either get chills or clap....I did both (as did many in my theater) and I'm proud of it. When you see Starscream show up you will smile from ear to ear. When you hear Megatron say "You fail me once again Starscream" it will remind you of their relationship from the cartoon and thank the people who made this movie for remembering that.

Lots and lots of humor in this film. Some good, some cheesy. Overall it's a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously and gives us Transformers fans who grew up with them a lot to love. Peter Cullen sounded great as Prime as expected. Lots of great scenes showing the Autobots in full form talking and interacting which, in itself, is just a great sight to see in live action. I hope in the sequel we get to see the Decepticons' personalities a little more because we didn't see much of it here. These characters aren't simple one-sided robots. These are robots with names and traits which were born in a 80's cartoon and live in the hearts of fans like me who grew up "knowing" them. Michael Bay did a great job here and I can't wait to see what he gives us next.

Just saw it as well. Fucking awesome.
My 3 biggest quips were the dude who played Sam isn't the best actor, they needed more Autobots, and Frenzy was hokey/annoying.

Megan Fox is so hot...

Paid homage to the series... for example, bumblebee destroys a VW bug and Shia tells the girl there's more than meets the eye.

very much agreed. All the 28 year olds need to quit whining and realize they sound like my grandma when they complain about how it was "back in the day"

I only caught reruns of transformers and enjoyed the cartoon.

Just wanted to make note of a couple things I didn't like in the movie....

1. The song (''Battle Without Honor Or Humanity'' by Tomoyasu Hotei) from Kill Bill Vol. 1 that played when Bumblebee drove up in the new Camero. When it played I instantly thought of Kill Bill. Any classic rock song would have been better than that.

2. Keep in mind I'm not a fan of Bush anymore......The Bush imitator asking for the ho-ho's in the Texan voice wasn't needed at all. It seemed so out of place especially since they showed his feet to hide his face.
