Transferring to a university or college in Cali?

I'm currently a New York resident and student reaching out for help in transferring to a college/university in California. My ultimate goal is UCLA, but I'd have to be a junior-level student to transfer. I want to get one year under my belt though so I can be a resident. Two things I need though:

.dormitories
.location: preferably around Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo

Can anyone help me I'm so lost and I'd appreciate it fully. Thank you for your time and consideration.
