I have a dead handspring visor and a new TX. Can I hotsinc and recover my address book from the visor software on my computer?
Where can I get details on how to do this?
I do not seem to be able to access this data on my computer. The only way I could ever see my address book was on the handspring itself. Should this be accessable on my computer so I can add and modify and then hotsinc to my handheld?

If you used the Palm Desktop and you can't see any info in it then I'd say you never hot sync'd successfully to the Desktop, for some unknown reason.

If the data is in the Desktop - then you can Export it by following the steps from the File menu - Export Data. You'll need to do a separate export for each database - Calendar, Contacts, Memo's and Tasks. Then install the TX's Palm desktop and then import the previously exported info.

You can try installing the TX's Palm Desktop and hot syncing the device to recover the data. When prompted for a user name - be certain to select the same user name that was used on the Visor.

Just be certain never to hot sync the Visor again with the same user name as the TX.

That's the short suggestion.
