i had the tranS1 surgery on 1/6/2010 since which i have been unable to sit due to pain in my tailbone (coccyx). the CAT scans according to him show that the nerve is clear or not compressed and thus there was no problem with the surgery itself. the doctor (who performed the tranS1 surgery) referred me to a pain specialist for coccidia. Since that time i have had (3) pain treatments under anesthesia. One in the SI joint, the second a pain radio frequency block, and an S1 nerve shot. None of these have alleviated the pain that i have for my tailbone. On 7/6/10 i visit my operating doctor to plead with him to find the cause of my problem. he had another CAT scan Mylegram ordered and again that did not real on blockage or compression on the nerve. On 7/29/10 i visited another doctor for a second opinion who told me that the procedure involves a lateral entry next to the tailbone and that it was very simple, that i stop sitting to allow the healing of the tailbone.
He suggested that the tailbone was comprised during surgery. at this point, i am unable to perform my job while sitting. the video shows that the screw is vertically aligned with the spine. my screw film shows that the screw is off maybe some 22 degrees (i don't not know for sure). and i wonder if this is the cause for my sacrum and tailbone pain while sitting? can you please help me? i don't know what to do if i can't get an answer for my pain.
