i just watched trainspotting and i can't belive how a film like that could be so good to watch, it really gives you an insite in to the mind of a herorine addict and the acting and directing are really good. what are your views.

the whole choose life.... spiel is all very well, but i was never convinced the life of a heroin addict was really any better.

You'll notice the only really mad one is the one who doesn't do drugs.

I still don't get the people who said it glorified heroin addiction - sh*tting all over yourself doesn't really do it for me.

I just bought this, and I'm looking forward to watching it very much. I'm a bit scared it'll be horribly depressing though.

It's actually not! I really like Trainspotting cause it's not the usual drugs culture film (like Human Traffic). It shows how addicts live, not the posher middle classes doing a bit of E now and then, but it's really funny in bits.

It's not depressing, it's a really good film.

If you want a depressing film about drugs, try Requiem for a Dream.

Also on the theme of drugs: the recent "Adam & Paul". Brilliantly sad, funny and touching.

Hope I'm not repeating myself too much too much too much.

I think it really deserves a watch.
