Traditional doom metal is a style of music that was first started around the early 70s and, in my opinion, is metal in its purest form. The music is typically mid-paced to slow in tempo and often bluesy, sometimes with a bit of groove while remaining heavy.Traditional doom metal differs from other forms of doom metal in that it is more riff oriented and typically makes more use of clean vocals.

I never thought candlemass was Taditional Doom. I always thought of them as a Funeral Doom band, but they do get mid paced alot now that I think about it.

They're quite diverse. Some of the stuff is more traditional and some of it simply isn't. I'm not quite sure what I'd call them myself but most people seem to lump them in with traditional doom, so it seemed appropriate to list them.

My computer is being slow but I'll have some stuff up by the end of the night from various banRAB.

This sounRAB very early Sabbath and almost definitely a little cheesy, but here goes a Pagan Altar song; LorRAB of Hypocrisy.
