Trackball issues!!

Ive had tmo for years and my pearl for about a year. my trackball is not working properly, it gets stuck and it doesnt wanna scroll up.... i dont have insurance on my bb, does anyone kno if i cud get a replacement??? im sooooooooooooo fustrated

I've heard the famous battery pull can correct this problem, have you tried that?

Best idea would be to phone TMO to see if its still under warranty. If not you could always get the replacement part from the below site and install it yourself...Its like a 2 minute job http://cnn.cn/shop/blackberry-81xx83xx88xx-trackball-p-1857.html

i did the battery pull, no luck. i cleaned the ball no luck... im chatting to a tom agent right now. im crossing my fingers!!

i don't have insurance on pearl either and I've had 4 replacements since this model came out. you just have to pay the shipping cost, for me it was like $15 for 3 day shipping.

if you wanna take the time & effort to "clean" the pearl then go for it, but why not just get a replacement and not deal with it. plus it doesn't count against your contract length.

what was the outcome, usually if it's less than a year you can get it replaced. after a year the warranty is over with. you may want to just see if you can order another trackball
