Toys R Us to have PS3 Presales Oct. 29 As well as Elmo TMX

1. $50.00 down, you cannot pay in full
2. It is on the 29th. Some people will get the advertisement in the mail on the 27th, but the majority 90% of the distribution is in the 29th paper. Regardless, it is on the 29th.
3. Limit 1 per person/family etc.
4. TRU Employee's are not eligible, unless they are in line with everyone else
5. Wii pre-orders on the same day
6. TMX Elmo is available on the same day


Now with TMX Elmo, PS3 & Wii presale all happining at opening on the 29th, do you really think 3 hours is enough lead time???? There is going to be one line for all. Stores will have tickets made up in advance and managers will walk the line early to disclose limitations etc. Tickets will be handed out shortly before opening, so there is no mass rush. The ticket is your guarantee to get the Ps3, elmo or wii.

Ps3 is VERY, VERY limited. I cannot say how limited, but think 360 and then subtract allot from that. Allocations are extremly tight and it is going to be a real bitch.
 
Alright guys, I just got off the phone with ToysRUs again and it's confirmed. They will definitely be taking preorders this Sunday but there is a very limited amount (obviously). The lady told me that if you get a preorder it will guarantee you a PS3 on Nov. 17 and you will have 48 hours to pick it up, so you don't have to stand in line all night. She told me to be there about 1/2 hour before they open...that doesnt seem early enough to me though.
 
Do you have a link to the source? I just called TRU yesterday, and they all said they're not doing pre-orders on the console.
