Hey guys, I'm 14 1/2 and my parents are giving me 4500 to spend on a vehicle. I'm looking at old toyota pickups. Like 91 and up. Mostly looking at the old style SR5's. Anyway, I'm trying to decide what size engine I should get. I want either the inline 4 or a v6. But I can't decide. I'm going to be occasionally towing a trailer with quads or our boat. I know that the 4 cyls don't make near as much power, but do they make enough? My dad says their pretty peppy and I'd be surprised, but I don't know. However, it gets better gas milage since I'm going to be buying my own gas.... Then, the v6 makes more power, but worse fuel economy. What would you recommend? Do the 4 cyls have enough power, or should I just get a v6 so that I can actually tow something? Thanks!
