I recently rented a 2004 Toyota Passo. When I got the car I got a key minus the keyless entry fob. When I requested for the remote key...the owner stated that it was broken and unusable.
Since the car has only one keyhole (driver-side)..it's sometimes a pain when you have to open the rear hatch in a hurry.
My question is is there anyway I could get another remote key. Or can I use a 3rd party remote key to piggy back on the OEM central locking system?
If I were to get a replacement key from Toyota what would the procedure be?(Of course I can call them and ask...but would like a heads up before I do.)
