2005 toyota matrix. 66500 miles. Car would not start and was making clicking noises. A guy tried to jumpsart it but just caused lots of sparks and my alarm to go off very loud. Alarm sounded louder and didn't beep. It blared. (Tried three times for like 20 seconds each) Tow truck arrived hour later and tried to jump start it and wouldn't work. He thinks the guy before reversed polarities. My alarm wouldn't even go off. The accessories didn't work now. he replaced 100 watt fuse and tested or replaced the others. My accessories worked for the most part but no alarm and car wouldn't start. No clicking with ignition either. next day now and still just accessories. No ac and no check engine light. Just lights on dashboard, doors unlocking, remote and alarm working, radio, beeping when I put the key and and turn it. Scared that there is no check engine light, just oil light and seatbelt light. He is thinking that replacing and fixing the fuses helped the accessories to work. Also, a month or so ago my car wouldn't start. No clicking or revving either. I waited like fifteen minutes and then car d then car started. Btw I had the computer replaced and toyota after that since I it was recalled a few months ago. I am taking it to my independent and good mechanic tomorrow. Just trying to see what you think is wrong.
A few last things to consider....
do you think it could be the timing chain?
Reminder: ignition wont crank anymore. Only cranked before the first guy tried to jump it
