I have a 1990 Toyota 4Runner (Aus) with a 22R petrol motor and 5speed.
The thing is terrible on fuel. Like 350k's on a full 60L tank.
I heard that putting a Weber carb on the truck will give it better fuel economy and power.
I'd imagine it wouldn't make it any worse. I'm also planning on fitting a snorkel. I do a bit of off road work and i'd like it to breathe a bit better.
So, if anyone has done the conversion, can you give me some advice?
*What carb did you use?
*What was involved in the conversion?
*What size jets did you use?
*How did you set up your choke (elec,water,manual)
Was it a worthwhile conversion? Was there a big improvement in power or fuel economy?
Is it worth doing?
