Hey, I'm planning to restore my late grandfather's 2002 Toyota Corolla CE for sentimental reasons.
I've located a Toyota MR2 3SGTE Turbo power-train in my area. Just wondering whether you guys know if it could be mated to my car. As I understand the mr2 is a rear-wheel drive but my corolla a front-wheel drive- a mechanic at my local auto-parts shop told me it shouldn't be too big of an issue though.
Engine, Tran. etc.-

Is this a feasible swap and how much would I be looking at for a professional installation.
I found a 3rd generation engine here-

How much should I expect to pay for the final product assuming the engine and various parts will cost $2,000? I was told that a ballpark figure for this install would be 700-1000
sorry for not mentioning, I am currently on an automatic transmission. I was told that it would be easier to get an engine already with a transmission
