You got Q's I got A's

When toyota headquarters give $2000 cashback incentives + $2000 loyalty bonus cashback, would the headquarters be the ones giving the money and not the dealer? I was just wondering because a dealer offered me invoice + $500 for a sequoia. But, with the $4000 cashback, the sequoia would be $28k instead of 32K. But if invoice is $30k would the dealer lose $2000 by selling the car or is the dealership gaining $500 for the car and Toyota Headquarters responsible for the $4k incentives?

Don't fall for the "invoice price" scheme. Invoice price means nothing. Shop around and get prices and ignore what those prices might be called. All you should care about is the lowest price. Sometimes it is at the descretion of the dealer to pass along any incentives on that particular model, sometimes it is corporate. Just get the best price and don't be afraid to let the sales people know that you are/have been/will be shopping around. It tends to make them "sharpen their pencils"
