Toyota Carina GT - 1996 on CNG?

Hi, I got this Toyota carina GT (4AGE Blacktop engine) car. Now the question is should I go for it?
Please note the following situation:

At present I am driving a car with 4E-FE engine. It runs on octane and CNG. Most of the day I have to drive average 60km/h. As a result there is no problem driving on CNG - driving slower in the city.

But when we go out of the its really a pain driving this car on CNG. Also there is not a great difference driving on octane. Beside I will not be able to afford to drive any car on octane everyday as I do not have a bigger wallet :(.

What I was thinking is if this GT is ok and I get this GT for cheaper and if I can run it on CNG (provided I use the proper engine oil and keep an eye on the rpm on CNG), I can drive normally in the city. I mean I do not expect to get performance from the car within the city.
And when we go out of the city sometime we run it on CNG or octane for the performance.
What do you guys think? Will this be ok? or I will still get problems?
