Hello,
I have a toyota Carina 2, 1985, 150k kms, 1.6 Petrol Engine. When I bought the car, I found two broken ignition modules in the boot of the car, which shows previous owner had changed them at least twice. Soon the car started misfiring, I changed spark plugs, cables, distributor head, rotor etc but it continued misfiring, so I bought a cheap replacement ignition module, car drove well for a couple of days and again the same problem. I bought one from Toyota and drove well for may be a month and started the same problem again. I tested coil and its in very good condition. I cannot figure what makes the module go bad. Any idea?
