My Toyota's Camry 99 engine died today. It stopped in the middle of highway, smoke came out from engine. Repair shop said, it got a big hole in engine. Timing belt was replaced about two weeks ago, and repair shop charged engine labor, they claimed as part of replacing timing belt. Could that have contributed to the problem? If they didn't put the engine back correctly, etc. I always replaced engine oil on time. It was running all fine, and there was no engine sound? Any clue?
Car shop said, the timing belt didn't break, and they didn't remove the engine last time to replace timing belt. I am confused. What are my options?
