Toyota camry 1999. In the night both of the rear light failure Indicator and the 'R' square light turned on the dash even if I drove in D position. Then I shut off engine. After turning on engine again I found the check engine light turned on the dash also. My car had a brake service ( changed pads and driver side caliper) the previous day.
Today I went to Autozone and got P1780 code. It is a Park/Neutral POSION SWITCH MALFUNCTION signal.
Does the P1780 code have anything to do with the brake service? Does this problem have safety issue? Should i repair it immediately?
