OK.:) So I just got my tounge peirced and it hurts. I read about the side effects like speaking inparment for atleast a month and that i have to go back 10 to 20 days to get my barebell a different or smaller size. Right not its a 22mm and i have to get it changed to a 16mm or smaller.

Im not sure if i should keep this i read up and did my research but im still curious whether or not i should. They way my tonage is i had to get it peirced mine is more up front cause 1. I have a big tonage, 2. my artery and veins where right behind my peircing and if the proffecionalist peirced it any farther back i would of bleed to death, 3. i cant barley talk or eat, 4. its 2-3 inches my two front teeth and im just worried what will happen.

I mean i like this alot but im just scared of the outcome of things. for now i sound like a retard until it heals and if i dont like it il take it out and possibly have a scar but on the other hand i need some advice and make it good and i just might take it out sooner preventing my scar and what not ughhhhhhhh! HELP!:dizzy:

I had my tongue pierced at one time...about ten years ago. I can't remember any major problems, but what I do remember is not being able to eat pizza with my hands. Something about biting it with the barbell in...I just couldn't do it...lol.

I took my piercing out because I kept playing with it and I didn't want to ruin my teeth. I kept "clicking" it and I knew it was only a matter of time till I chipped a tooth. There weren't nearly as many choices for rings as there are now....so if I got one today...I might keep it.

I would say put a plastic one in...or at least something that won't hurt your teeth. The swelling should go down in a few days. As with anything...there are risks, but enjoy it.
