tough math riddle! Someone help me figure this out!?

Ok heres the question:

You must use the following numbers once and try to get 24 as your answer:1,3,4,6
You can only use addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Please help me figure out how to get 24 by using all those numbers once.
 
6-4= 2
3+1= 4

put those numbers together, and its 24

dunno if thats the right way, but it was worth a try =)

6 x 4 x 1³ seems to be the only way... although wrong xD

too bad you can only use multiplication, division, adding, and subtraction. that one never even crossed my mind x.x
