I've been dying my hair at home for a while now with a regular brown (my natural color but I'm covering the grays I'm getting). I bought everything to do highlights myself using the cap & crochet hooks. Doing it myself isn't the problem Im just wondering how the touch ups would be. I have brown hair & I bought the blonde I plan to use as the highlights & going to only do the top of my hair. But before I do it I'm wondering how doing the roots will be when it needs to be touched up? I'll keep the cap & remember which holes I use so when I do touch it up I'll be in the same area but I'm wondering if just doing the roots in the future will look ok like I do when I do the color? Also before doing the cap highlight touch up I'll have done the brown roots too. Any suggestions? Is this do-able?
