Total Engine Swap 2005 Honda Civic LX?

I need some detailed information on purchasing a new engine for my car. I'm looking for something that is fast stock but upgrades will take it up easily. I'm not trying to race, I am just tired of getting left because my car maxed out at 110. My current engine is completely stock I dont want to mod that because it sucks. I was looking at K20's but I hear its extermely costly and pointless. Some people pointed me towards the B16 but I dont know much about Honda Engines I drive an 89 Crown Vic with a 5.0 Mustang GT motor under the hood thats work in progress show car but Im driving it daily because I want to put more horsepower into my Civic (which is suppose to be the daily drive). I am not swimming in cash so I need this to be a fair price. So please give me some sites that have stock engines with a decent stock hp that I can mod easily later on and it wont cost me an arm and a leg. Please include everything I will pay for the full swap (ballpark it) also considering where I live I would like to stick with Auto Trans but if thats not possible Manual is no problem.
