Going off to college in a city, whole campus is wireless, but when i was there i found out (shockingly) that torrenting is bad. Repercussions and actions would be taken against people caught torrenting.
However, there was someone that i talked to (another student) and he has been doing torrenting through the network, he just makes sure it's not easily detectable.
How would someone go about doing something like that? I've heard about turning down download speeds is one thing, but i don't really know how that would work. I'm most "familiar" with microtorrent (utorrent) and have never done anything to it, just ran with it, no problems. What kind of things could one do to torrent but not be caught (if someone were to do that)?
