top speed is 180km/hr in most of the japanese sport cars?

i saw a lot of japanese sports cars like Subaru Impreza which had just 180km/hr..top speed..even in FnF Tokyo Drift, the nissan 350zs n Mitsubishi Evo had 180km/hr on the speedo as top speed....y is dat?? or they perform better but the speedo is old...!!???..and they were just drifting at 90km/hr in the city...i noe it is a gr8 thing in the city but just 90??..n also..wen the cops record the speed..its just 197km/hr...for a ports car like this it shud have been around 250...!!???...220km/hr, its written in my 1.6 ford fiesta...!!
 
japanese cars were always limited to 180km/h, but when they are shipped into australia the limiters are removed. they were also limited to only 208kw of power. many companies claimed there cars had this much power and were approved, but when placed on a dyno some cars had upto 230kw lol. mostly skylines and supras
