For all of those that are waiting for their bags that are going to be painted most of them are almost finished and I will post when they are completed and ready to go.
Thanks,

We just opt. to go with making skid plates out of 6061 aluminum at a 1/4 in. thick. It can be screwed on or double sided taped on. $20.00 a set. Back 4 in. from the rear of the bag. The carbon fiber ones we are still waiting on and should see those here fairly soon.

It would be interested to see someone make something to protect the bottoms and sides of stock bags (the outer edge you know). I mean I can't count the number of people who dork up their stock bags on like a Street Glide (after a tip over) with no bag guards. I figure many people would be interested if it looked good and functioned well.

Something that ran the full length of the bag that you could 3M tape would be cool. Carbon fiber would go with about any color and be a good seller...I think. I'd buy a set anyway.

Justin, can you do a full length set of skid plates like Bad Dads?

I just got my 4" bags and installed them just to go around the block. Now they are at the painter. I was worried about dragging, but I didn't, it was very close. I think if I really get crazy in a corner I will drag. I had the wife follow behind me to check it out. I am going to make some skid plates out of 316 stainless. Also, my bike is a Street Glide, lowered 1" in the front and 1/2 in the back. Oh the 4" bags make the stock street glide fender look really small. I will post pics when finished.

I think the rear of the Ultra is going too look like ass so I think I'm going to go with this fender! what do ya'll think? do you think it will look OK?

Looks as good as any. It even lets you use the detachable hardware.
I couldn't get anybody this spring to talk about using detachable harware, with a custom fender.
