Mommy to 2 little angels

For over a month I have had an ache in the top of my left arm and shoulder...kind of where the arm bone meets. When I rotate my shoulder in a circle I hear crunching and popping sounds. If I lean my head to the right the muscle pulls and when I turn my head to the left the neck muscle hurts. I have tried a generic aspercreme for the pain and muscle rubs but it doesn't help. Any idea what may be causing this and what I can do for it?
