This is the talkback thread for "WALL-E", "Waltz with Bashir", "Persepolis" Get BAFTA Nominations.

Good news for all you Persepolis fans disappointed at its loss to Ratatouille at the Oscars - it's got a second chance in the UK.

Facing even stiffer competition this time, mind.

Yeah, I'm not sure that Persepolis is being done any favors by having to go up against WALL-E and Waltz with Bashir. Still have yet to see Waltz with Bashir, but from all accounts, it's the Persepolis this year in that it's really using animation for new and different purposes and pushing the medium's use in film forward.

Still, it's nice to see that it was still recognized, considering how relatively old it is compared to the other 2 films.

I've seen a bit of Persepolis a couple of days earlier on Starz.

And I gotta say, it deserves more respect.
