This is the talkback thread for "Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles": "At The Brink Of Chaos" And Sanity.

The anime isn't that good compared to the manga, obviously. In fact, the anime should've never been made unless it followed the manga faithfully, which it didn't. I could barely go past the first episode of the Tsubasa anime. The OVA was the only one that I could watch.

As far as the manga is going, it's reached its climax part. Very good.

Wow, I've never seen or read any of TC (and now I probably never will ), but that review seems harsh. Good thing I'm not a fan of that series, because I'd probably be offended by a review like that if it were for a show that I was a fan of, or that I just happened to enjoy.

Just to be clear, though, I'm not saying that its a bad review, nor am I judging the review at all, since, like I said, I have never seen or read any of this series.

At one point I had been planning to, but I suppose it will just be wiser to drop it, and save my time for other stuff.

That review doesn't reflect the manga so it's all good. ^_^ Harsh as it is, it doesn't bother me one bit. The manga >>>>>>>> anime. Don't know what Bee Train was thinking messing everything up....

Non-fans/readers can rest assure, the Sakura(s) in the Tsubasa manga are not Mary Sues. If that was the case, I would've thrown the series out the window long long ago.

Hmm, season two seems to suffer from Naruto filler syndrome after diverging from the manga in the mid to late 30's. Quite a shame, I generally liked season one. At least they evidently worked in Kurogane's backstory...

I'm still really hoping that Tokyo Revelations and future OVA stories will get licensed. They have plot, they're canon, and they're animated by Production I.G. Lots to like, really.

I'll admit, my enjoyment of Tsubasa has gone majorly down with season 2. Season 1, while admittedly not as faithful to the manga as it should have been, was good entertainment. But Season 2 goes off the deep end.

It's sad when the main reason to watch a show is to listen to the spectacular score. That seems to happen to poor Yuki Kajiura a lot. And, IMO, the FUNimation dub makes the show far more tolerable than listening to the Japanese version, at least for me.
