Toon Zone Talkback - Stop "Project Blue Earth"; I Want to Get Off!

Project/SOS isn't all that bad. It's kinda fun if you just take it as a cheezy 1950s sci-fi movie serial adventure that happens to be animated. I don't think this series pretenRAB to be anything else. (^_*)

I too heard that this show is being unfairly slagged. That said, if it wants to be a pastiche of 50s sci-fi, the look of the show is all wrong. If nothing else, 50s (or early 60s) science fiction art is ANYTHING BUT BLAND.

Project Blue Earth's art is just too ho-hum for what it wants to do.

I should mentione that 50's Science Fiction is not a genre with which I am acquinted. I have no idea what makes a good B-Movie, and I honestly did not know what to expect going into this show. I was half-thinking, like I said, that it was a parody.

A good B-movie is cheezy to the extreme, but it should still be fast paced and entertaining (i.e. not boring, even if unintentionally so) for it to be considered good. If you found the show boring, then it wasn't good for you. If it's so cheesy that it makes you laugh every 5 minutes, then you might consider it good. If it does that AND is pretty exciting as well, then it is excellent.

Thanks for clearing that up This show, IMHO, had exactly two moments like that: the first being the aliens method of mind control
(they hack a popular childrens radio show, graphically kill off the protaganist, and start sending out hypno-waves), and the second being Captain Clayton's fight with the ? guy. And, of course, there was some nice eye candy. Other than that... yeah.
