This is the talkback thread for Onion A.V. Club Interviews "South Park"'s Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

I thought this was a pretty good interview. Basically some of the highlights include:

- Both Matt and Trey are wary of doing movies again. They are extremely demanding and time-consuming.

- No surprise, but Comedy Central gives them creative leeway to do whatever they want. They still give the scripts to the BS&P though.

- They have tried in the past(like last summer) to work on episodes on the summer instead of the week before the episode airs. And Trey Parker said that they were some of the worst episodes they have ever done. So, they are going to continue to do episodes the week before they air. Sorry DarthGonzo.

No offense, but we're picking up this "news" story a bit late, aren't we?

An interesting read, nonetheless.

EDIT: Looks like I was a bit late as well.

Hey, if you didn't read it, It's New To You! ;)

I took a glance at the date when I saw the link and thought it said "May 20, 2008" instead of "March 20, 2008." Otherwise, I probably wouldn't linked to it at all. I blame Cartoon Brew for the lateness in reporting this, since I got the link from them and I don't visit the Onion AV Club regularly. The fact that they had a link to the Nina Paley interview that we reported on about a month ago should have been the tipoff, but some days I don't read so good.

Now is as good a time as any to point out that we do have a handy little form with which you can point out things like this to us for inclusion on the News Ticker. Anyone who contributes news gets credited in the writeup. Do it enough times and you might even get an invite to join the jet set crowd of Toon Zone News staffers, where you get into things free by calling yourself a member of the press so you can hobnob with celebrities (or at least some pretty cool people who work with cartoons). Then you can have people complain to you that you're posting news late :D.
