Toon Zone Talkback - KaboingTV Launches on March 11, 2011

That was pretty funny! I like the animation style. Also how it's rated G even though the guy's head blows up in a semi-graphic fashion.

I sure hope KaboingTV gets more talent and ideas soon because I really, really dislike "Frog in a Suit". I like the vibrant art and colors, but the wit is lacking and the voice acting is really bad.

I appreciate the hell out of Joe Murray for creating a platform for executive-free animation, but his short isn't a very good inauguration.

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's underwhelmed about this short, and I too hope that more content comes to this site. In fact, I'm developing something now and I hope it can air on the network (and other venues like TGWTG.com).

But I'm still curious, how is Kaboing TV different than other places where you can present original executive-free content? Is this Newgrounds with quality control? Doesn't Youtube or Channel Frederator provide people a venue to show original cartoons? What exactly does Kaboing TV offer?

The first episode was okay, but the only part I really found funny was when the guy's head blew up. The voice acting wasn't exactly on point, and it was a bit too short to be filling. I still hope this gets off the ground, but I think it's going to take a while.

Frog in a suit was made on a smaller budget, but then again so was Rocky and Bullwinkle. I myself really struggled to even find a joke, "I want to make tadpoles with you" and a guys head blowing up randomly aren't exactly jokes. Plus, look at the background frogs, during the whole short they pay no attention to guts flying everywhere!

I'm sorry if I'm being harsh but this was seriously disappointing.

I saw the second one and it was a lot better IMO. I guess I'm in the minority here because I think Frog In a Suit is pretty funny! I like it a lot.:anime:

Will there be other series on there?

That was an improvement, it's funnier and the animation is better too.
Micheal Jantze (Jantze Studios) is an animator and cartoonist that teaches at my art college, and I'm taking a class he'll be teaching next semester. Hopefully through him, I'll be able to submit content for Kaboing TV.

I thought that this episode was a step up from the last one. I actually had a few good laughs from this, compared to the 1-2 I had in the last one, and the animation seemed to improved in this episode as well.

I found the site through Cartoon Brew and already I'm hooked. The fact that there is now animation sites without executive interference is like a dream come true to cartoon fans and I'm really hoping it takes off.

And for the record, I did find the first episode of "Frog In A Suit" to be pretty funny as it has Joe Murray doing what he does best: provide good laid-back entertainment with a punch of adult and gross humor!

As a backer of KaboingTV, I really hope this takes off. KaboingTV will be producing it's own content as well, if it's successful enough (I think to do that it needs ads though). Think about it... because Kaboing lets creators keep the rights to their characters, imagine if Jhonen Vasquez was able to make a Squee! cartoon? Anyway, not KaboingTV needs more content. There's lots of good animators on youtube who I'm sure would be more than willing, like our very own aalong64.

I enjoyed Tricky Business much more than All Buzzed Up. The classic, innuendo-ridden Murray humor was more apparent. McDonough was entertaining as well.
