Toon Zone Talkback - "Heat Guy J" Complete Series Recycles Too Many Clichਲ਼

uhm...I am going to slightly disagree. I thoroughly enjoyed heat guy j and while it does pander to many cliches (bunny, main character dies and partner inexplicably can be related to said killing, kyoko fanservice), it was a fun show. This is just one show that's a bit formulaic that sort of hit me on all cylinders. I think one reason the show hit me was the soundtrack and mix of character style that made me go well that's different. But I have to admit, it doesn't distinguish itself like a say ergo proxy which handles some similar situations in that two people are paired together to unravel a larger mystery. With the latter, the psychological aspects of the show began to really come full force later on where in heat guy j, it seemed to maintain a light hearted mystery. All in all, it isn't fantastic, but it does kill some time very well. And surprisingly its one of the few anime I run to when I'm bored.

I actually enjoyed heat guy j surprisingly and if you don't need a super serious plot, some may enjoy it too

which main character died
the former don was killed before episode 1, does that really qualify? Vampire's goons? I mean they were minor no? Or Serge Echigo being killed 10 years ago and shun became the new serge Echigo? beyond that, I am trying to grasp together which character died that was main
