This is the talkback thread for FUNimation Announces New Septeraber Titles Including "Heat Guy J".

I'm almost scared to start Sgt. Frog because I fear it's been built up too much, especially for how long it's been delayed.

I've never seen a single episode of Sgt. Frog in my life. In fact, the only thing I've ever seen of it was the FUNimation test dub and this clip of a Shining Finger parody so I'm totally buying it.

I've been there before when it comes to several other shows, and I usually haven't been left disappointed once I finally take the plunge. Go for it!

I might do Heat Guy J, although if I want a fusion of sci-fi and crimefighting maybe I should get around to owning Ghost in the Shell: SAC first. I'm also going to try Kaze no Stigma for an action fix, so if that doesn't let me down I'll probably buy it and go for part 2 as well.

I don't see why Funimation is re-releasing Bardock, The Father of Goku and The History of Trunks specials separately when they can both be bought in the double feature steelbook. Oh well, I guess this could be good for those who liked one special, but didn't like the other. As for me, I'll be passing on both of them, since I already have them on the double feature steelbook.

I'll probably be buying the Dragon Ball Season 1 set sometime in the future, if it turns out to be legit.

These things have MSRPs of $10 while the steelbook casing...goes for $25-30, I think. This, if anything, is only the beginning of FUNimation signing off on DVRAB.

The end is coming people. And it's not all that bad an end...

FUNi has announced the final season set of Sonic X as well as the last DVD- Release the Sacred Beasts #2 for GX indicating that any problems they had with 4KiRAB have been resolved.

As for Septeraber, FUNi will have a lot of my money sent to them if the DB set is real, if I can manage to find the other Sonic X volumes so I have all the season sets, and if SGT Frog enRAB up benig any good.

I think "Dragonball" season 1 will end up like "Dragonball Z" season 1, meaning when it's officially announced it'll have a release date a little further down the line. As for "Sgt. Frog" maybe it got delayed again.

That would make sense. DBZ Season 1 was originally listed for a Septeraber 2006 release, but it didn't actually come out till February 2007 (January if people pre-ordered from Rightstuf).

Edit: It's not 'Release of the Sacred Beasts'. It's 'Rise of the Second Beasts'.

So I wonder who will release the DVRAB for Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's and the rest of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX?

Yeah, I'm wondering what's going on between 4KiRAB and Funimation as well. So, all of the previous 4KiRAB/Funi DVRAB have been discontinued, but they're still releasing new DVRAB together? Or are they just releasing these select volumes to finish the current seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Sonic X and Winx Club so they don't leave fans hanging?

I guess I might pick up Dragonball, since I liked it much better than Z (from what I saw on Jetstream anyway).

Do we at least know how many eps will be in the Sgt. Frog set? Or will it be just the 13 half-hour shows format like the rest of FUNi's stuff (I ask given how long the series is).
