Toon Zone Talkback - DreamWorks Announces Schedule Through 2014

So I guess Trollhunters and Monkeys of Bollywood are all the way in 2015 then? Those were the ones I was most curious about, though The Croods, Me and My Shadow, and HTTYD2 all seem interesting.

I'm surprised and impressed only one Kung Fu Panda sequel in the next four years. Maybe they've pulled back on the crazy idea of committing to seven movies?

Alma was the one that interested me the most. It still has yet to be officially announced though. I'm hoping it does soon. And that It actually happens. I love GDT and all, but you can't count on him to do anything for anybody!

The wait for Dragons 2 is going to be painfully long, but hopefully it can live up to its predecessor.

Me and My Shadow strikes my interest based on name alone, so i'm keeping an eye on that one.

Looking forward to all of them, but tops on my list are Kung Fu Panda 2, How To Train Your Dragon 2, Me and My Shadow, and Rise of the Guardians.

You can really tell just by their release schedule for the coming few years how Dreamworks seems to have changed their strategy. The only sequel on there that we didn't already have a scheduled date for is How to Train Your Dragon's sequel.

Me and My Shadow sounds genius, I really hope they pull that one off well.

Kung Fu Panda 2 -I want to see it in theaters but I will most likely just end up renting it
Puss In Boots -sounds like a renter to me
Madagascar 3 -I am going to skip this one
Rise of the Guardians -I want to see this
The Croods -I want to know more about it
Turbo -see above
Me and My Shadow -I want to see how this turns out
Mr. Peabody & Sherman -I will just rent it
How to Train Your Dragon 2 -I hope it is as good as the first

Mr. Peabody and Sherman sounds like a sad cliche, to be honest. I remember the original cartoons as a kid and they were enjoyable. Racing through time and correcting the mistakes of another time traveler sounds too much like a bad TV series I remember from the 80s or 90s.

The original cartoon was actually educational; this movie sounds like another collection of sight gags and fart jokes.

He likely smelled them coming a mile away.

Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to a lot of these, except Madagascar 3. Though I like the animation and character designs, the stories to these are kind of terrible.

I'm more concerned that Sherman and Mr. Peabody is being written by somebody who was involved in Six Feet Under.

I mean, come on, there's just somethign so wrong with that.

Not too excited about all the sequels and franchise movies, especially Peabody and Sherman. I really dislike all the remakes of classic 60's TV cartoons Hollywood has been pooping out recently. It just seems like they don't even try to make the movies enjoyable to those of us who really appreciated the original cartoons. On the other hand, I can't complain about them too much, since they ARE creating a lot of industry jobs and the general public enjoys them.

I think the most intersting-looking one is Me and my Shadow, it'll be a must-see when it comes out.
