That's weird that these new companies are making announcements right off. I haven't watched the Anime Network Online since a little while after it launched. I remeraber that when they added Kiba, I had about equal problems with it as with FUNimation's video player currently, and I doubt it has gotten better. Since when have you had to pay for streams? When I watched it, it was all free.
