This is the talkback thread for "Case Closed" Season Four: The Case of the Repetitive Formula.

File it under "G", for "garbage".

(No, I don't think Case Closed is garbage. I just couldn't resist using that Critic line)

I've been wondering, are these new sets still using the same OP song or have they changed them since they should be at like the third or fourth one by now.

The series might be repetitive but it has kept my interest since its departure from the [adult swim] block a couple years ago. For any new fans, start from season 1 and work themselves up to the point where they think that they grow tired of the show yet they can look back at the previous season sets and still be pleased of the continuous adventures of Conan/Jimmy and the rest of his Mystery Inc. posse.

The series has always been and will always be formulaic, but as long as the cases themselves are different, offering new explanations and stuff each time, I'm fine with it.

Besides, at this point in the series, the characters start poking fun at the various formulas. I think this set contains the first episode where Megure asks Kogoro's group "why is it that every single time there's a murder, you're randomly here?"

I recommend everybody get season four for the new episodes and to support the series. Season five's set for release already, but we won't get a sixth set if sales are low.
