This is the talkback thread for "Bakugan" I Use 2 Mana to Special Summon The Instruction Manual!.

Yea...I still have no idea what the hell goes on during a Bakugan Brawl.

You too right? I mean, I'm usually good at figuring out how these games work but I have literally no freakin' idea what's going on in the show.

Isn't it good that it's tricky? It forms up some sort of a challenge, which is rare.

And I actually haven't even watched the first episode, yet I understood it pretty nicely.

But that is a funny title, heh heh.

I've said it once, I'll say it again.. these are the only good things about it (why is Mamiko Noto in this of all things?):

Yeah, those opening themes were really cool and while I surprisingly don't find Dan's English voice to be that bad, I've heard worse, I agree that he sounRAB a lot better in his Japanese voice.

I honestly don't see that much of a similarity between Bakugan and Pokemon, besides the whole monsters that come out of a ball thing. I actually see more similarities between Bakugan and Digimon. Some children learning of a different world with monsters, said children get one talking monster and the children and monsters bond in battle as they save their two worlRAB. There are quite a few differences between the two series, obviously, but I just noticed that similar structure within their storylines.

Though, I agree that the review title is hilarious and appropriate. I remeraber what I headache I got from watching the first episode for the first time. I still don't really understand the game that well, but I find that the series is enjoyable. It's really one of those shows I watch for the fun of it and it has gotten pretty interesting, especially near the end of the first series.

Who does Jack's VA voice in Bakugan?

I am going to go with the general consensous that the game is not understood that well. Why is it really played IRL then?

Pretty much what I think of Bakugan; Yu-gi-oh it is not. Duke's review is spot-on about that stupid game's rules and the incredibly dull cliched characters. Dan and Shun especially grate on my nerves due to how generic and bland they are. Marucho annoyed me too and while Runo and Julie are decent to look at, I don't care for their personalities.

I still stand by my opinion that Alice is the only memorable one of the bunch. Sure, she seems plain from where Duke's watching but the twist centering around her kinda changes that...
