This is the talkback thread for ADV Films Announces New May Titles Including "Clannad" Collection 2.

Probably nothing for me, unless I try out Clannad. And yet again, ADV re-releases titles that I either already own (Azumanga Daioh) or don't care about (the rest).

ADV, didn't you release another box set already back around Noveraber or Deceraber?!

That is...milking it. Never thought I'd say that.

I still don't want Clannad or Princess Resurrection. No dub, no go.
 
I'll second that too, I saw it at best buy a while back and it interested me, but the box was damaged (been sitting there a while I assume)

Anyhow,

More azumanga daioh? well, lets hope this one has extras and/or a nice case/cover.

Please, dont re-re-RE release it as a horrible box..
 
Yup, on 10/14/08 to be exact. I don't mind ADV re-releasing their old stuff, but not when the two releases are THAT close to each other.

Though I do have to say, I like their much slimmer collections, putting 'em all in one single DVD case. Takes up far less shelf space.

I am really torn right now. I love the show and have yet to buy it, and this new release is cheaper than the last two sets, but that price probably indicates that it's coming in a single keepcase. The boxes for the thinpack collections were extremely nice and sturdy, but I've also run out of room on my shelf, so it would be a space saver.

If extras are included (not likely), I'll bite.
 
Well, there's no cover art for Tomoya even for the Japanese DVRAB but still....

Although I guess this means episode 25 is either lost forever or maybe as an extra for Clannad: After Story collections.
 
Hey, it's always possible. Najica's recent collection had the on-disc extras from the singles, I believe, and most were left out of the 2005 thinpak version.
Having not seen Clannad, I have to ask why Kyou is a bad choice for the cover.

Not that she's a bad character but man, if you look up the word "shafted" in the anime dictionary....

I take it you mean episode 24, the Tomoyo-OVA, seeing how there has never been a Clannad episode 25. And according to the coverart, the OVA is included.

...Anyway... YAY FOR MORE CLANNAD!!!!!!! Apart from that, I already have Azumanga Daioh, and I have no interest whatsoever in the others, but just the fact that it's got MORE CLANNAD YAY!!!!!!!!! is more than good enough for me.
