This is the talkback thread for ADV Films Announces New July Titles Including Central Park Rescues.

It's good to see ADV rescuing some Central Park stuff. Maybe now I'll finally get to see Grave of the Fireflies.

Hasn't Now & Then, Here & There been pretty cheap for a long term? I bought the box-set of it like 6 years ago for around $15 or $16 on sale.

and surprised at ADV being the rescuer instead of rescuee. But they probably looked at some of the titles and figured they could turn a profit and not have to spend anything on production since they're already done.

I don't know about six years ago, but just within the last 24 months you were lucky to win a bid on ebay for under $60.

I have all these originals on VHS, so count me as finally upgrading to DVD. And if ADV is reading this post, I will buy any other CPM rescues you may aquire.

I dunno. IMO, ADV's already gotten the CPM titles worth acquiring (as well as one that isn't). I don't think ADV should overreach with the title-rescuing.

Well well, ADV makes like Chev Chelios and shoots itself up with adrenaline to keep going.

I'll wait for another batch though before I start thinking about doing the CPM rerelease shuffle. Here's to looking out for Lodoss!

All right ADV!! YAY!!

Honestly who would've expected ADV (and not FUNimation) to rescue the old Central Park Media titles

Hopefully this'll help ADV make a comeback, and plus we have hope for seeing some more older series on the market, and if this is the case, I hope they get MAZE: The Megaburst Space, Record of Lodoss War and Utena

I'm so glad that ADV finally rescued those CPM titles, and mad at them because I was actually thinking about coughing up the cash needed to get the rights to Grave of the Fireflies.

Anyway, I'll be picking up Grave on DVD, and with my Anime Club on "Summer PotLuck/Show Anything Except Hentai" schedule, show it at club the following day.

It's a long road to recovery for ADV, but they're walking it. Good to see.

I eagerly hope for someone to rescue Lodoss War.

I wonder if all this affects the ability of Now and Then, Here and There to ever air on Ani-Monday again?
