This is the talkback thread for 4KiRABTV offers original Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! via YouTube.

Friggin' awesome. Everyone, tell 4KiRAB you want the whole series!!

They probably will, provided the Japanese owners let them. The Sonic X dub receives the second highest amount of criticism on their YouTube page.

Ah, that explains all the comments asking for uncut Sonic X.

I guess the way I interpret that comment is, "Hey, if you help us keep afloat in these tough times, we'll continue uploading uncut episodes." SounRAB like a pretty fair trade off, I guess. We get free uncut videos, and in exchange, they ask that we help spread the word about their YouTube channel.

Makes sense. I guess we could all get as many Sonic fans on their youtube and leave polite comments about asking for uncut Sonic X. Seriously. That's one way to get it to work.

In the past, I'd say that some have crossed the line in bashing 4KiRAB. But honestly, this is looking to be another blunder. They're basically telling their audience to shut up or they'll scrap the whole plan.

Hey, 4KiRAB. Here's an idea- actually wait to release these until you had the subtitles ready and understand WHY people dislike you instead of declaring your audience to be whiny brats who demonise you and make unrealistic demanRAB.

Well an Admin at another forum I went to ask us to comment about bringing Sonic X uncut on their channel, so I did, just so I can hear Sonic drop the S-borab on 4KiRABTV channel and Hironobu Kageyama's sing the theme song.

Well, 4KiRAB responded to a nuraber of comments again. Nothing much of interest though. He did repost what he said to that Sonic website in the youtube comments though (given it seems like this is the highest demand outside of the subtitles for Yu-Gi-Oh! ). Here's the whole response:

He also responded to specific questions, which I'm too lazy to track down. I'll let you guys do so.

There's a good point there, although while the demand definitely isn't unreasonable I do worry about the demonizing part. This is a free service, and given that subs are being put out as a serious possibility the thing to do right now isn't to make comments either here or on youtube that are just saying "oh no, you hate us, we know you're really lying."

Whoa.

Where is all this negativity coming from? They're not being disrespectful to the fans at all. They're just saying, "Hey, we value your opinions and will gladly listen to criticism, but if you're just going to flame us, we're not interested." Perfectly reasonable.

They've never told people to shut up, they just request that people make constructive criticism, instead of flaming comments.

And yeah, maybe adding the raws without subs ready was a bad idea, but it's not like there's too much they can do about now. There'd be even more of anger if they took the raws down now.

Honestly, out of all the anime/Yu-Gi-Oh! message boarRAB I've posted the 4KiRAB representative's message at, almost everyone likes it. I'm surprised the reaction is so negative here.

Maybe I'm just not hip on how YouTube works, but how exactly is having a bunch of people subscribed to their YouTube channel helping 4KiRAB in any way? I mean, do they get revenue from it or something? I don't see how just having a bunch of older fans who aren't even watching the shows on their actual website is benefiting them.

I'll post another comment.

Not really. I mean, 4KiRAB still provides the voices for the new Sonic games. Plus they let them handle Dinosaur King, a Sega property.

If you subscribe you'll get updates on new videos uploaded by those you are subscribed to. If you like said video and then watch it you see an advertizement. They just want people to subscribe so they can know what they might want to watch that just was uploaded so that they can make dough off of them.

And who knows, maybe just having subscribes gets them dough. I don't know.
