Too many people blame problems on ADD when they don't have it.

Ok, this post might get moved but im putting it here for now. Anyway:

At my school I can name around six people right away that say they have ADD...yet I have been in classes with them and they have absolutely no signs. They pay attention, they get good grades, and yet, when they forget to do homework they complain and bitch to their friends and myself that "the teacher should understand they have ADD."
Secondly...what kind of bullshit is that? I'll ask them: "Are you taking meds for it?" (long pause) "No."
...."Why not if u can't get ur work done?"
"Oh its just a mild case of ADD that I have, it doesn't require meds."

WTF dude? how can you have a "mild case" of ADD thats limited to not being able to do homework? And to top it off all of their friends are in the misinformation circle and believe that they have ADD. Ill ask someone why (andrew) didn't call me while they were hanging out. "I told you to call him. Oh dude you don't know? He has ADD."

I was "diagnosed" with ADHD when I was 6. In between flushing Ritalin down the toilet (gotta hand it to my parents, they sure weren't good judges of trustworthiness) and weekly counseling sessions, I realized that I could abuse the hell out of this system. I also... what was I saying?

To all those who say ADHD is bullshit: /yourselves. I would think it is too if I didn't have it, I mean, Christ, literally a whole thought process is deleted when I speak. Don't think, DO! And you can't get it back no matter what, it feels biologically deleted.
