too many miles for a 1998 Suzuki GSX600F Katana?

Im looking into buying a 1998 Suzuki GSX600F Katana which has 35k miles one it. This is going to be my first bike and there are scratches on it but other than that it seems to be a good bike. I was wondering is 35k miles going to be bad? if i get it will i have to be upgrading parts in the engine a lot? or is 35k really not as bad as im thinking?
