Tonsillitus????

okay so i am 17. I woke up saturday with a raging headache, sore sore throat and didnt think anything of it....sunday was about the same but i was having the chills and i was having trouble breathing it felt like i had an elephant on my chest. Then monday i still didnt feel any better so i took a flash light and looked into my mouth...my tounge has raised red spots near the back of my tongue. I have brushed my teeth so many times in the last couple days and yet still have horrid breath. Also my lymph nodes are swollen i feel awful...today i feel cold so i had a sweatshirt plus a north face on with jeans. felt awful today. stomach ache, sore throat a bit of a cough but not really. I checked symptom checker on Web MD and found so many things...tonsillitis was the closest..i have 12-15 symptoms but inside my mouth everything is just bright red and my tongue is coated with white but i spots on my tonsils not white...could i still have tonsillitus...should i consider going to the doctors..whats going on...

You could have tonsillitis or strep throat...GO TO THE DOCTOR. Let him/her decide what you have. But it sounds like an infection and you are giving it to others but not getting it treated. So before you infect a friend please see your doc.

Tonsillitus is a bacterial infection of your tonsils, they get really inflamed and red and you will have a really hard time swallowing. How bad is your throat hurting? do you have a fever? If you are running a fever, definitely get to the doctor, that means you either have a bacterial infection of some sort or maybe even the flu. It would be hard to diagnose what you have on here.. I'm thinking more like a bad virus or strep throat. hope you feel better.
