I was told my my ENT specialist that part of my allergy problems may be caused by the allergens staying stuck in the crypts in my tonsils. He said that by taking my tonsils out it might solve a lot of the problems I have with my sinuses, allergies, and asthma as well as my tonsilitis.
I had my tonsils out yesterday due to repeated bouts of tonsilitis and my tonsils were huge and full of crypts with tonsil stones and halitosis as well as difficulty breathing at night.
I was wondering if anyone else had heard of this? I can deal with the allergies but I would be very happy if it did help alleviate some of my allergies. However, I won't hold my breath or count on it. Any comments on this would be helpful.
