hi im new here.

I'm sorry for being such a newbie but i've been growing white hair in my search to find a TomTom software for my new nokia n95. i've done a search on forum for a loonng long time reading 50oage++ threads and just couldnt find it

if possible could some one post a link to download this bugger for free?(if its available for freee that is).

and also i need to kno a few things, will it work with external gps?
will i be charged using it with external gps? and if there is a charge how much the costs will be etc...

Thanks in advance!

1. TomTom will not work with the N95, as it requires a bluetooth GPS. It cannot read an internal GPS (the Symbian version can't, because, up to the N95, there weren't any S60 devices with built-in GPS.)

2. Asking for warez (*free* versions of pay software) is against the rules of HowardForums, please read them, they're very easily found on that bar across the top, under "FAQ"

Wirelessly posted (Nokia E61 (WiFi): Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.1; U; en-us) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413 es61)

Get it here....
www.tomtom.com

There are quite a few better gps tools out there, search the forums and you'll see that most prefer smart2go and nav4all...etc.

thanks for replies guys, i've managed to get tomtom plus on my n95 with a little help from a friend that i met at work who had a n95 also. IT WORKS GREAT!!!! (with external gps)

unfortunatly i've come across a little problem wich i doubt my friend knows how to sort it...

Ok heres the problem:

i goto Navigate to, Then, Postcode... the postcodes in my area is usually something like this ''N9 0SQ'' but the thing is i cant type letters in postcode bit !!!! (think its amsterdam postcodes)

any 1 could help me out on this please... i've tried everything but i may have missed out somethings so any help would be appriciated very much
THANKS!!!!

Your search button must work a bit differently to mine- Nav4all and Smart2Go are crap compared to TomTom and I've never heard anyone say anything else.

Entering postcodes is just like writing a text : you just cycle through the key options till you get a number.

k but the thing is there are no letters. its all numbers. i need to write N9 0SQ and when i press the button 6 for 'N' it just comes up as 6... if you kno what i mean ?

i think its somethin to do with the update from tomtom - to - tomtom PLUS
how would i by pass this with out having to re-install everything because it was quite long putting tomtom on to it , and especially if it just updates by it self like mine did :S im screwd

Oh and i think amsterdam is set to defult country, which may be the main problem. i cannot see anything on my phone saying ''set defult country/city'' anybody have a clue how to set London as defult?
