have to ask questions about it. HELP!? Tomorrow, in English class, we have a debate about, "Should the children do the housework" I have to ask some questions in this debate. PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

Yes children should do housework. They need to learn responsibility and they need to know how to take care of things. It also gives them a sense of accomplishment. You cannot do everything for a child and then all of a sudden when they are an adult expect them to know what to do. They need to know how to cook, clean and wash laundry. A family is like a team and sometimes it takes a team effort.

Shouldn't they be allowed to spend their time plying and not cleaning?
How could this help a child's future?
Are there any dangers that could happen?
Should children be expected to help out daily? How often?
Which chores could they do?

Well I dont think children should do ALL the housework, but certainly they should help out with chores-age appropriate of course. What a 5 yr old can do, isnt the same of what a say 15 yr old can do.
My children aged 6, 4 and 22 mos ALL help out in the house! The oldest too, need to put their dirty clothes in the hampers according to dark and lights-They need to pick up their toys and tidy up after they're done.
Also they help out setting the table, and bringing their plate back into the kitchen. My 22 mos old daughter helps setting the table as well at times! She thinks it's a game but does a wonderful job!

So yea children should HELP out with chores, it's not their job either to be the cleaning crew but they can certainly contribute to the running of the house. Depending on their age, let's say teens should be doing their own laundry and cleaning of their own room, they should also be helping out with dinner preparation and cleaning up, etc

"If our worlds children did not help with any chorse, thus constricting the poarents to the house, do you think that would make our world run smoother?"

Unless they want to then no, childhood is one of the only times you get to have fun, so let them enjoy it while it lasts, there's time for housework when they get their own house.
