Tomb Raider

I watched this when it was on last year and am now watching it again.

I know it was panned by the critics and it only gets one star in the Radio Times, but I find it quite an enjoyable romp of a film and Angelina Jolie is actually very good in it.

Is it just me??? Is it actually a good film??

Oh and Daniel Craig will be a sh*te Bond - this is now reconfirmed. :p

I enjoyed it but there's no big action finale, all the action scenes occur early on and the ending just sort of splutters to a halt.

No other actress kicks ass as cool and classily as Angelina Jolie though. Maybe if the new Tomb Raider game is any good (fingers crossed - the last one was pants) then they'll green light another film.

I quite enjoyed it as a piece of mindless hokum to watch last night, both feeling quite ill so weren't in the mood for anything we actually had to think about. The OH happily eyed up Angelina and I happily eyed up Daniel Craig, so we were both happy :)

I don't understand why it got 1 star, yes 1 star for the awful sequel, but the first one was a decent game to movie imo.

Fun FUN movie. and the score music is fabulous.

I went to see Tomb Raider in the cinema when it first came out and couldn't understand why so many critics didn't like it, I thought it was a good movie and had some very good parts. Angelina Jolie was perfect for the part.

Hopefully number 3 will get made.

The next Tomb Raider game, Tomb Raider: Legend is also getting great previews in magazines which could mean that Lara Croft will be back to her best.

Tomb Raider was the "Burger" of movies. Not that it's such a bad thing - sometimes you just want junk food, and TR was a damn GOOD "burger".

Excuse me if I stretched that metaphor to its elastic limit.

I can sit through this quite happily.

Not Daniel Craig's finest moment. Watch Layer Cake or Archangel for a more Bondy performance.

I reckon he's going to be great as Bond, especially as it's going to be more dramatic than all the others. :D
