To what extent did Abraham Lincoln's policies and attitudes toward black people

change during the Civil War? Do you believe that Abraham Lincoln merits the title of "The Great Emancipator"? Why or why not?
 
I dont know....the War was inevitable, so I believe it fell into his lap. However, I think he did a great job given teh circumstances. Is he a great emancipator? While it is known that he was not fond of african americans, he was also anti-slavery. SO i guess you can call him that.
