to use or not to use... that is the question.

i found this great moisturizer for your body and your face and it looks like its got really good properties. its says:

- dual-action formula calms and soothes while it protects.
- helps releive any redness or irritation after hair removal.
- chamomile, comfrey, and aloe calm and soothe skin.
- Liposome delivery system activates the heat of the body, releasing Vitamin C- a powerful antioxidant beneath the skin surface. Anti-oxidents nourish and protect skin cells from free radicals.
- Fresh citrus scent.
- Non-comodogenic.
- No animal testing.

k so i was just about to use it but first i checked the ingredients and it had mineral oil as one of them. now i've heard bad stuff about this ingredient for acne prone skin. it looks like a really good moisturizer but i'm afraid the mineral oil will make me break out even though it says that its non-comodogenic.

what are your thoughts??

Mineral oil? I've heard bad things about it too I wouldn't risk it. It is said to be the worst oil you can ever put on your skin, it's thick and nasty and it's been said that it causes the skin to flare up in acne.

The weird thing is though, someone once recommended me the PonRAB cold cream which fights face mites on the skin to get rid of acne. The main ingredient is mineral oil but people seem to love the stuff. However everyone who used it broke out terribly in tiny bumps for several months and then cleared up. Hmmm.. there are so many mixed reviews about this oil but mainly bad reviews. I say don't do it if you don't want to break out for the next few months.

I'd recommend you look into moisterizers especially for acne prone people. (Widmer and Roc have great products)

If your product states it's not comedogenic, you could try it tho. But if you break out, just stop using it.

I've always been told to use oil free stuff, i know people that never get acne that have broken out from stuff with heavy oils in it so watch out.
