front, rear, or all wheel driv? it's my parent's car, but they can't recall if it's front, rear, or all wheel drive. how can i find out what it is? is there a place on the car or engine that indicates it? also, there is a button labeled snow, but no mention of it in the manual. what is this for? thanks for any helpful advice

use this site to find your toyota

click on 'specs'
see 'drive train wheel'

The snow button only starts your car in 2nd gear, which gives you more traction as a safety feature. Newer toyota trucks and utility vehicles are either front wheel drive or all wheel drive. So, that would knock out rear wheel. If your parents don't remember what option they chose, try this: open the hood and if your engine sits left to right (and the belts are facing your fender) then you most likely have front wheel drive. If the belts are facing any other direction (besides the front/grill of the car), you might have four-wheel drive. I used to have a '90 toyota SR5 and it had another shifter on the floor of the cab that I could take the truck in and out of four wheel drive, but I'm not entirely sure if they still make them that way.
